The month of Rajab is one of the holy months, and the word Rajab comes from Rajoub meaning reverence, and the miracle of Night Journey and Ascension took place in this month.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Sharbasi, professor at Al-Azhar University, says: The month of Rajab is one of the Islamic lunar months of the Hijri, and the word Rajab comes from the subject of Tarjib. meaning reverence. It is called the holy month of Rajab. This is because it is one of the four holy months, i.e. during which fighting is prohibited, and this has been a known and well-known issue for a long time. The Holy Quran mentioned the holy months in Surah al-Tawbah.
Rajab 2024 will begin, according to astrological calculations, on 12/1/2024.
These holy months are Dhul-Quidah, Dhol-Hijjah, Moharram and Rajab, and for this reason the Prophet of God, prayers and peace of God be upon him, said: 'Time has turned back as it was the day when God created the heavens and the earth. The year is of twelve months, of which four are sacred, three are consecutive. Dhou Quida, Dhou Al-Hijja, Moharram, and Rajab Mudar which is between Jomada and Chaabane.'
In the month of Rajab, there was the miracle of Isra and Miraj. God referred to the Ascension in Surah Al-Najm (verses 7-18).
The miracle of the Night Journey is a tribute to the Messenger - prayer and peace be upon him - and a strengthening of his heart. He was able to see the kingdom of heaven and earth with his own eyes. This event took place right after the death of his uncle Abi Talib and his wife Khadija in the year of pain, after he went to Taif and his family attacked him.
